As a woman who works late I often resort to shopping online and deliberately avoid the stress of frequenting crowded shopping malls & streets in my sacred free time. Moreover, I often hear people with busy schedules complain about the fact that Belgium still doesn’t offer more Sunday & late night shopping.

In 2009, Devi Shri saw something in this undiscovered business opportunity and opened up Be-Angeled. This heavenly, unorthodox store in the heart of Ghent showcases glorious retro inspired clothes and divine accessories (bags, shoes and jewellery) that are reminiscent of the stylish 40’s and 50’s.

The gorgeous, affordable boudoir style shop is open 4 days a month from 14pm to 22pm, and also on demand for private sales and home sales.

Every month, Devri-Shri visits Paris and other fashion capitals looking for the newest trends, inspired by fashion icons such as Marc Jacobs, Louboutin, Chanel and Balenciaga. She sometimes buys only 2 pieces to keep everything exclusive.

Fashion and good taste run in Devri’s family: she worked in her Uncle’s well-known fashion store Movies for over 2 years and her mother has a shop in Ghent called The Fallen Angels.
Apart from her omniscient eye for fashion, she creates her own clothes and accessories as well, and as a freelance photographer she photographs her own beautiful line, which can be admired on her website and Facebook page.

Interesting fact: “Devi” means Goddess in Sanskrit. Coincidence? I think not.
